We have windows and bricks ready to go up! YAY!

We guys.... it's been a little while due to Easter and everything! So of course nothing happened over that time!

We headed out last saturday for a quick visit..... The windows are all up - bar the 2 tiny ones in our room! They are stitting the garage... and we assume that they have to wait for some brick to be up to put them in!

Oh..... this is the colour of our windows..... it's called Woodland grey!



And the really exciting bit that texy loved was that the bath and shower bases are now in place.... pretty cool really! I was a bit amused at the way they actually put the bath in! Just cemented in a few bricks under the tub to give it extra strength...... weird???? But i assume it's standard. Pretty slap dash if you ask me!

OK.... so now here our our bricks. And all the sand thats ready for the bricklayers... We are hoping that they will have most of it done when we head out this saturday again!

They are called "Mocha" I think it will look really nice, as it turns our either side of us are both really light bricks! So it will stand out a bit!

Oh.... We also headed out to Beaumont Tiles to grab the tiles we are having... They are great, very impressed! Still however on the hunt for a feature tile!

Ok.... so photobucket finally wokred for me!

Here is the house with wrapping on it!



So while we were out there with the family we took them though the display home which is alomst identical to our place. Only difference being our 4th bedroom in the display house is a home theatre!

So here is the front door! Our will be idential as well as the colour!



Just a close up of our feature colour... It's called Tuscan Red..... although it's more of an orange! But a great outback colour.....



So this is our entrance..... We have the exact same colour tiles. And i am busy on the hunt to find these feature pebble tiles before the tillers start in mild april! So if you know where i can get them, defiantly let me know! Oh.... It's just Joan and Texy in the photo!

The Alfresco and placement of our water tank..... So we are thinking of doing the same screen but with the tuscan red paint instead of the jarrah look!

Electrian and House is now wrapped

Well..... we went out on the weekend.... Joan, Keith and Stephen came with us!

The house has now been wired for electricity and they have put that stuff on the outside of the place ready for the brickwork! Only there are no bricks out there yet... So i hope they come soon! Was sorta hoping it would be done before easter! As i'm sure nothing exciting will happpen in that time! They will all be on holidays!

I have taken loads of photo's.... just having some trouble with photobucket! So i will try get them up asap!

Contracts all signed...... YAY!

Well, yesterday we went out and signed our lives away!

So now it's all official! Getting excited now.... trying to imagine where i am going to put all our stuff! Also we brought some boxes to start packing up our place..... figure if we do all the things that arn't getting used ready for storage!

Also... the hosue now has temp fencing up! So looks pretty horrid.... but at least the mess that the builders make is contained in that area! Last weekend it was blowing everywhere! So now the plumbing, heating, roof are all done! We are thinking that the next thing to be done is the windows.... but there was nothing waiting out on site! So hoping that either bricks or windows are delivered to site this week!

Oh..... Best news of all..... the display home that is out there thats the same as our place has these great feature tiles. I really wanted them in our house... Initailly the tillers said no, due to them already ordered all the bits and peices. However i said i would purchase the tiles myself and bring them to site..... and they said YES..... So i'm having these pebble type tiles to the floor on the entrance, bathrooms and laundry! So very excited about that! And the tilers are expected to be doing their thing in mid april! So things will be moving along quite quickly!

And the smart wiring is all sorted now...... Dean (the contractor) said it's basically a small business type set up! So we can pull the internet pug from texy bedroom if he's been naughty.... all from the garage! If that makes sence! I'll post a photo once it's done! He comes in after the electritians.

Smart Wiring Meeting Friday afternoon.... YAY!

Well we are meeting with Dean the guy doing our smart wiring tomorrow night at 5:30pm..... Getting a little excited! And hopefully he can explain it all too me!

OMG - The roof is on already!

OK.... just home from contract talks... hopes to be signing by Friday! YAY!

Well we went to the house and the whole roof is conpletely tiled.... Glenn and i nearly fall over! Couldn't believe how quickly it got done! I mean you can see the tiles just sitting there on the photo's that i took the other day!

So things are progressing really well! Also the fridge water tap has been installed.... so the plumber must have popped back in either monday or tuesday!

So i've got more photo's...... I took Texy into his room and got a photo! He's so cute out there..... he has to bring home a present. Today it was some plumbing pipe.... other day was a cement screw!
