Contracts all signed...... YAY!

Well, yesterday we went out and signed our lives away!

So now it's all official! Getting excited now.... trying to imagine where i am going to put all our stuff! Also we brought some boxes to start packing up our place..... figure if we do all the things that arn't getting used ready for storage!

Also... the hosue now has temp fencing up! So looks pretty horrid.... but at least the mess that the builders make is contained in that area! Last weekend it was blowing everywhere! So now the plumbing, heating, roof are all done! We are thinking that the next thing to be done is the windows.... but there was nothing waiting out on site! So hoping that either bricks or windows are delivered to site this week!

Oh..... Best news of all..... the display home that is out there thats the same as our place has these great feature tiles. I really wanted them in our house... Initailly the tillers said no, due to them already ordered all the bits and peices. However i said i would purchase the tiles myself and bring them to site..... and they said YES..... So i'm having these pebble type tiles to the floor on the entrance, bathrooms and laundry! So very excited about that! And the tilers are expected to be doing their thing in mid april! So things will be moving along quite quickly!

And the smart wiring is all sorted now...... Dean (the contractor) said it's basically a small business type set up! So we can pull the internet pug from texy bedroom if he's been naughty.... all from the garage! If that makes sence! I'll post a photo once it's done! He comes in after the electritians.

Smart Wiring Meeting Friday afternoon.... YAY!

Well we are meeting with Dean the guy doing our smart wiring tomorrow night at 5:30pm..... Getting a little excited! And hopefully he can explain it all too me!

OMG - The roof is on already!

OK.... just home from contract talks... hopes to be signing by Friday! YAY!

Well we went to the house and the whole roof is conpletely tiled.... Glenn and i nearly fall over! Couldn't believe how quickly it got done! I mean you can see the tiles just sitting there on the photo's that i took the other day!

So things are progressing really well! Also the fridge water tap has been installed.... so the plumber must have popped back in either monday or tuesday!

So i've got more photo's...... I took Texy into his room and got a photo! He's so cute out there..... he has to bring home a present. Today it was some plumbing pipe.... other day was a cement screw!

One step closer....

Well..... the $1000 deposit is down, and we are off tonight to have contract talks with agent. We picked up the section 32 on the weekend... I have read over it! And it's not 100% ready to sign! So we will be making our final demands before signing it! As there is a changes clause in the contrat and they want $1000 everytime to change something! So making sure we get it right before hand! Than we will all be better off!

Also wanting a settlement date.... or as close to a settlement date as possible! So we have a date working forward for selling this house! They are saying home should be finished on the 8th July.... given that they have a 5 month turn around! And they started building on the 8th Feb!

Also..... Harrisons View (where we have brought) is a Telstra Hight Velocity area.... So we have to get the house smart wired... Ha ha ha! Yes, heard all the jokes. Kirby can't live in a smart wired home, ha ha ha - glenn! But thats another thing not included in the contract - i'm we will be making sure that it will be! It's something to do with not being able to have TV arials... so it's all done by fibre optics - i'm so out of my depth with all that info!

So yesterday was my birthday.... I got spoilt with more pandora.... and obviously a new home!

Fingers crossed everything goes well tonight!

1st Attempt.......

Well, as the title suggests, this is my 1st attempt of blogging!

Figure i may as well have a go.... and it will help things set in concrete in my head!

As some of you will know we are embarking on a new and very exciting time in our lives..... We are building a new home to bring up Texas is! And Glenn and i couldn't be more excited.

So last night we made an offer and it was regected...... only to get a phone call this morning to say that yes the builder has changed his mind and will accept it! So were stoked!

It's a 4 bedroom (and NO were not having 3 kids - ever). Has a Master retreat, so glenn and i won't know our selves. Fromal lounge, with kitchen, meals and family all open plan opening into an alfresco area! I will put the plan up on here when i figure out how too!

So off tomorrow to pick up the contracts.... Than it's all really official! And i will be reading over it. Just double checking everything!

Well i'm sitting here still in my PJ's, so better go get ready for the day! I have been busy getting our current house ready for sale! So just finished giving all the window sills a splash of paint! Also have to do curtians as a Master Texas has broken the one that are there right now! So i'll be riding the sewing maching!
